I have so much photos to upload and have yet to do so. Recovering from a wonderful week in NYC celebrating me and the boyfriend's 9th year anniversary by spending it with my baby dog, unpacking, and dreading the upcoming semester that starts on Monday. Luckily for me, I'm only taking 3 classes so it won't be as hectic as last semester.

I've gotten a LOT of questions from a lot of people about the camera and lens that I use (mostly though my Facebook haha). I use a Canon T2i which I have been using for the photos on this blog since April of 2010. Difference with my new posts is that I just purchased a fixed focal lens which is a 50mm f/1.8 lens a week before I left to New York. I love it so much that I'm looking forward to buying the 50mm f/1.4 lens possibly before summer (or in May right before GRADUATION!)

Random photos since the last post. Finals ended last week and I am very excited for my GPA! It feels good to be satisfied with my GPA after all that hard work this semester. Six classes (5 of which are upper division courses) is no joke. After finals, I spent a weekend (I guess a day) in Dallas, Texas with my brother and one of my best friends and now I'm back in California eating, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. I'm pretty much loving life at the moment.

Hello bloggers! I just want you all to know that I haven't forgotten you all. I haven't had the time to "document" my everyday outfits since ideally, a collegiate hoodie and jeans is much more appropriate to wear to school when I have classes for nearly 12 hours a day. I truly believe that my readers deserve the best from me and not some mediocre posts for the sake of posting on my blog. Don't worry, I'll be back, better than ever (after all these darn exams, papers, and quizzes on economics, law, and the dreadful geology class that I need in order to graduate).

I have since gravitated towards clothes that is not only beautiful but worth my money AND something I need. I can vouch to you all that economics has changed me financially! Quality over quantity. Anyway, I'm on my way to graduation and that is my top priority at the moment so bear with me as I spend my free time studying for 6 classes. Again, I promise to blog as soon as I have the time :)

In other news, I just booked a flight to New York in January! Super excited :)

Named one of the best beaches in the world, Lanikai Beach on the island of O'ahu is absolutely amazing. I have always wanted to visit this beach but with the lack of transportation (well actually, quick transportation since a bus would take FOREVER) I purposely avoided a trip to Lanikai just to save time. This time around, we rented a car and finally took a trip. Breathtaking. Water so clear. Sand so soft. Amazing amazing beach.

Just wanted to inform you that I no longer work at f21 and haven't for quite a long time actually and have moved on. That being said, either you are someone who knows me and we have cut ties around that time (for whatever reason and simply you could of just had a grudge on me since I didn't have an attitude at f21) because we all know that I don't work at f21 anymore and have worked elsewhere since then OR just a plain old stalker that I am unaware of who stumbled upon my blog. I don't have an attitude unless you give me a reason to. That's why I don't have any internet trolls to date until you came along.

Oh and it's "you're" not "your" because your is possessive and you're is a contraction for "you are" which I'm assuming you are trying to say.

Hello Bloggers! I'm back after a week-long vacation in the beautiful islands of Hawai'i (specifically, Maui and O'ahu). Went to Maui with my boyfriend and my brother and then met my boyfriend's mother and brother in O'ahu a couple days later. It was our (bf, brother, and I) first time in Maui and we absolutely love the island! We were all so bummed that we only spent 3 days and 2 nights in Maui at the amazing Ritz-Carlton in Kapalua before we took off to O'ahu but we're definitely going back again in the near future!

A lot simpler than the previous outfit but that's because I wore this to school. Started my second summer school class on Monday (Human Sexuality) and it's going pretty okay. Not as challenging as my Finance class that ended last week (which I ended up with a B...darn but finance is pretty challenging so not so bad I guess) but I guess an easy A will do for now. Especially with microeconomic theory, macroeconomic theory, law and economics, managerial economics, business ethics, and geology lab for fall semester. Fall semester is going to be one heck of a semester.

If you're curious at all (while I'm on the subject about school) I guess I'll say a little about myself that some of you may or may not know. I am a Business Economics major and minoring in International Economics. After I graduate, I would like to work in the finance department for any fashion company (whether it be Barneys New York or Vogue yadda yadda). After about 5 or so years, I want to get pursue a Master of Business Administration and a law degree and eventually a doctorate. From there, I want to pursue a career as a financial analyst, forensic accountant, an economist, or work for the International Monetary Fund. So that's my career plan. Ideally, I would LOVE to own a boutique or get paid to travel but this is the safest route for me! People say do what you love and there's something satisfying about pursuing a career in economics/business/finance/accounting. I can't quite put my finger on it.

Around 7:00PM to about 7:30PM, I find the natural light to be amazing. The light has a rich, warm tone that fascinates me whenever I'm out and about or driving west right before sunset. On the other hand, I want to take photos when the sun rises. Pretty sure it'll give off a completely different vibe and tone. Need to train my sleep cycle so that on my days off, I'll wake up around 6 0r 7 and not the usual noon.

As far as the dress, it's my new favorite. I actually have a lot of favorites but this is my current favorite. It can be dressed down or dressed up. Day or night kind of dress. The color and print of the dress makes it suitable during the day and the sequins make it a great date night dress. Don't be surprised if I wear this dress more than once!

After work one day, I headed straight to Zara after finding out that they were having a sale and ended up with this amazing blouse and amazing shoes. I initially wanted the blouse in orange (orange, I know, weird) wayyy back but it didn't have the slouch I was looking for. Anyway, I wasn't aware that they had the blouse in this off white color till recently and unfortunately it was an extra large. Then I thought, why not? I love my clothes oversized so I bought it anyway and now I love it. And then I found these shoes (I almost bought them in Dallas but decided against it) and although they're not as high as my other shoes they're still cute.

On a different note, I've been cleaning and organizing my room. It may not seem as if I have a lot of clothes judging by the photo above, but that's not even half (nor a quarter, nor sixteenth and so and so forth) of it. I just don't have enough hangers to go around. Once my room is officially done, I'll take more photos but here's a sneak peak!

Tacos from Huntington Beach's Street Fair (speaking of, I scored a pair of shorts for $5 and a viscose shirt for $8 at the American Apparel booth!). Curry bob before we went for a walk. He just took a bath today so he looks a lot cleaner haha! Palm trees in San Pedro. Some kind of wall art in Huntington Beach. So far, summer has been low key. For my Dallas based friends! This food review is for you! In April, I had the pleasure of visiting my brother who is stationed in Texas. Those who know my boyfriend and I would know that my boyfriend and I look forward to trying out restaurants in new places when we travel. Thanks to Yelp, I found this Tex-Mex gem while we were in Dallas and decided to give the famous Brisket Tacos a try. Okay, I'm going to be completely honest. I couldn't taste it because my taste buds were just as sick as I was. BOOOO! Buuuuuut, my boyfriend has the same taste in foods as I do and said it was pretty much the best tacos he's ever had. I was super bummed and still am. Looks like I'm going to have to wait till January to try them! Taste buds, please don't fail on me the next time I try Mia's!

Met my boyfriend when he got off at work to spend some time by the beach and eat some delicious In-n-Out. He works not too far from the beach so we stopped by the marina to take a couple photos.

I'm going through an In-n-Out phase right now. It's pretty bad. For the longest, I only ate fries (yes, only fries but with spread!) but I recently discovered chopped chilies and I add them to my burgers all the time now. Also, I wasn't too fond of animal style but now I love it. #2 cheeseburger animal style with chopped chilies please!

Spent the day with the boyfriend at Disneyland and Irvine Regional Park. Since we both have annual passes to Disneyland, we spend our time there depending on how busy it is (especially when there are a million high school kids there for grad day/night). Since it was quite busy, we just had lunch at Cafe Orleans (one of my favorite restaurants in Disneyland!). Afterwards, we headed to Irvine Regional Park to stroll and came across peacocks! Hello everyone! Just wanted to stop by and say that I haven't forgotten about my blog! I know I use the same excuse over and over but I'm just trying to get by with school and work. I went to Dallas over the weekend to visit my brother so in a few days I'll be posting photos from my first trip to Texas! And normally, since summer break is around the corner, I would have more time to blog BUT I'll be attending summer session (business finance and human sexuality) throughout the entire summer. I'm taking 7 classes in the fall (hopefully, since I have to pass calculus before I can get into micro and macroeconomic theory which are prerequisites for my other economic class I should be taking in the spring blehhhh) and then 4 more classes during spring semester before I graduate. Can't wait to FINALLY graduate next spring!

Hello everyone! I'm taking a break from Business Stats studying to post a few photos from today (yesterday, however you like to see it). My brother is here in LA for the next few weeks so in between studying, work, and school, we tried to squeeze in foodie time. Today, we drove to LA to try Genwa, an amazing Korean restaurant just a few blocks away from LACMA. Talk about amazing (but I'll save that for another post when I find the time)! Yesterday, we went to Little Tokyo to try Japanese crepes and tomorrow we'll be grabbing drinks with friends at Yardhouse. Super excited!

What I'm also excited about is Vegas in two weeks! My boyfriend and I will be spending a few days in Vegas and also meeting one of my friends there for dinner. I know it would be a little selfish for me to say that I'm in need of a vacation given that I just got back from New York not too long ago but I reallllly neeeed it. This semester has been a pain and I should actually get back to studying since my Stats midterm is later on tonight -___-

By the way, the last photo is a photo of a piece of the original Berlin Wall (I know that looks grammatically incorrect. I didn't know how else to word it haha). In commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, several artists painted pieces of the Berlin Wall. I thought it was pretty nifty!

School just doesn't seem to end for me does it? Went to see my academic advisor yesterday and I vowed to myself that studying will not end for me until my graduation next year. So that being said, as much as I love traveling (especially over the summer) and being lazy, I won't be traveling as much this summer due to the fact that I'm taking summer classes (Managerial Economics and Human Sexuality) to speed up graduation. In addition, I'll be taking winter session next year as well (not entirely sure what class I'll be taking) and all of next year will consist of economics classes. Law and Economics, Microeconomic Theory, Macroeconomic Theory, International Finance, International Trade, International Economics, Economic Development as well as Business Ethics, Biology, and Spanish. And to think that I wanted to pick up a Junior Financial Advisor internship on top of my current job and school. Don't know what I was thinking.

Soooooo, I'm in for a crazy ride! I won't forget about my blog and will post from time to time since I need to learn how to prioritize with everything going on.

And don't these palm trees look lovely? Got to love LA's weather right now. I'm looking forward to a break from studying for my Business Statistics exam that's on Tuesday! I've been meaning to try Japanese crepes in downtown Los Angeles tonight (maybe after the Laker game!). Maybe I'll reward myself with crepes haha!

Taking a little break from Business Calculus so here's a couple photos from yesterday. My boyfriend and I went to the Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens. Beautiful place and it was a beautiful day yesterday (or Saturday since it's technically Monday).

For awhile now, I've noticed that my metabolism is starting to slow down (not a lot, but it's a bit noticeable). I'm pretty sure it is because of the delicious food I've been eating the past few years. You can't win it all! Therefore, I think it's time for me to start working out hahaha!

Someone on Yelp called chicken and rice the carne asada fries of new york except I believe it is way better than the famous carne asada fries of California! A trip to New York is not complete if you haven't tried chicken and rice from the halal carts! Chicken, rice, and pita bread with white sauce and hot sauce. Nom nom nom nom. Don't get too crazy with the hot sauce because it is spicy (and I love spicy)! But do go crazy with the white sauce. Soooo good.

I had planned, months in advanced, all the delicious eateries my boyfriend and I had to try while we were in New York and Ippudo NY was not on the list. So, so, SOOOO glad that I turned on my MacBook one morning and logged onto my Yelp account (because logging on doesn't happen too often. I rely heavily on the Yelp app on my iPhone). I can't recall why I logged on but again, like I said, I'm glad I did. Had I not, I wouldn't of come across Ipuudo NY which was featured under "Hot on Yelp". Seriously, I honestly believe that it was fate that brought us together.

Anyway, after going over the menu with the boyfriend, we decided to eat here for dinner that I day I came across it and boy was it packed! We waited about 40 minutes to get seated but it was well worth the wait. We ordered the Hirata Buns and those buns are DELICIOUS!!!! AAAANNNND I hate pork buns (so that speaks for itself). We both ordered the Akamaru Modern Ramen and it was pretty good considering I'm quite picky with my ramen. For dessert, we ordered the blood orange sorbet which was definitely refreshing and super delicious.

Definitely worth coming back! Service was amazing! Food was Amazing! Super sad that we didn't get a chance to dine here a second time before flying back to LA but don't worry tummy, we'll be back in May!

Lately, I've been attempting to remodel my room. Mainly, just trying to organize my forever growing closet. In the past few months, I've been buying pieces that I absolutely LOVE and I want to make them easily accessible in the mornings (or nights) because it's just too much to sort through half asleep haha! Somehow, I under estimated how much work is being demanded from all of my classes ESPECIALLY when it involves taking Business Calculus and Business Statistics. Too much numbers involved. I'm also still working, but thankfully, just over the weekends.
Pretty much, this is all I've been wearing since coming back from New York. A cardigan, oversized top, skinnies, and boots topped off with a hat. Nothing special, just trying to be comfortable for class since I have to walk a million miles to upper campus this semester (as opposed to the CBA building which is literally, 20 feet from where I usually park).

HAPPY NEW YEAR LOVELIES! I am completely aware that I am forever MIA on this thing but it's a new year and its time for a change! Spent a couple days in Vegas to celebrate the boyfriend's 23rd birthday. Couldn't ask for an amazing trip with good company. Sweating in 100 degree weather. Checking in early at the Luxor. Mango Fat Tuesdays (extra shot) in one hand and a jalapeno pretzel on the other (TWICE!). Knocking out after two hours. $30 cab rides to Chinatown and back for cheap $4.95 food. Checking out early in the morning. Eggs Benedict from Hash House A Go Go. Mimosas. Fashion Show Mall. Shopping at Zara and ending up with a pair of camel colored trousers and black leggings. Finding a Vegas Hello Kitty at the ABC Store (reminds me of good times in Hawaii!). Checking in at Excalibur. Pool side. Sugar Factory. Driving down the strip at dusk. THE BUFFET AT THE WYNN! Wynn Signature Punch with Rum. Food Babies. Loud nights with eight people in one room. Checking out. Mr. Cashman slot machine. Fashion Show Mall for the ABC Store and Food Court. HOME.

To be honest, I'm not much of a Vegas girl and the weather was TERRIBLE. Flips flops over heels for the win. I'm not much of an alcoholic (like most people I know haha). Plus, it's too expensive for drinks and I'd rather use it towards yummy food. Can't wait till San Francisco next month. Weather will be oh so wonderful, food will be oh so tasty, and new clothes in my closet will be oh so beautiful.

If you can't already tell, my interest has slowly shifted from fashion and clothes to food and traveling. Sure, I have my share of shopping but not as much as it used to be. After many trips to Buffalo Exchange and realizing how much money I've wasted, I just can't keep wasting money on disposable clothing. I already have enough of that to last me for awhile. It just breaks my heart to know that the one thing that I've loved the most for so long isn't my number one priority right now. But until I can afford Marc by Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, Chloe, and all the beautiful clothes both vintage and designer, traveling and food will do for now.

My boyfriend and I have been together for seven and a half years and the subject of marriage, weddings, and kids are always brought up (not just between ourselves, but others continuously asking when are we going to tie the knot). To be honest, it's more of us not ready to give up everything that we have going on now just yet. We're young and we won't be young for long so kids are definitely out of picture for the next ten years or so. Marriage, on the other hand is a different story. I love planning our future wedding. We plan on getting married in New York, engagement photos in Central Park, pretty ethereal dresses, beautiful centerpieces with New York's skyline in the background, and a honeymoon in Bora Bora. We're (or at least I am haha) aiming within four maybe five years. It will be definitely be an exciting chapter in our lives.

I will be spending a couple days this coming week in Vegas to celebrate my boyfriend's 23rd birthday! I'm so ready for some Fat Tuesdays, The Buffet at the Wynn, pretzels, Hash House, and so much more. Seriously, three Vegas trips in one year is way out of my character. I usually go to San Francisco but $22 for a night at the Luxor sounded tempting compared to $200/night in SF. My traveling as of right now (depending on my financial situation since of course I'm paying for most of my trips out of my own pocket while my mother pays for our family trip) are listed below:

July: Vegas

August: San Francisco and Napa Valley/Sonoma

December/January: New York City/Washington DC, Georgia, and Maui/Oahu

May/June: Japan or Europe

After a night of laughter while watching Hell's Kitchen as the Blue Team "enjoyed" themselves at a winery, my boyfriend and I decided to take a trip up north to Napa Valley and San Francisco for his birthday next month with a couple of friends. I'm definitely excited because 1) I LOVE San Francisco (well third after New York and Hawaii) and 2) I've tried wine tasting once, but it was in Mexico last year and I'm excited to go especially in a place well known for their vast variety of wineries. Without a doubt, I'm excited to go up north next month after a million failed attempts this year. Something was always coming up and forcing me to postpone the trip. I'm definitely making it imperative that we do this trip! No excuses.

Why hello bloggers! It sure has been a LONG time since I’ve last posted an outfit but here it is! I’m wearing one of my all time favorite dress in the whole wide world. I got this dress at H&M about 3 years ago and till this day, I’ve never loved a dress as much as this one. Even the red (or white) rosette dress from the Garden Collection doesn’t compare.

Woke up at 5:00 in the morning to go to the Lakers Parade! Getting there was a piece a cake on the metro. Got the best seat in town but as soon as 11:30 rolled around and those behind me pushed me against the riot barriers and continuous yelling right by my ear, I almost lost it. Walked from Washington to 7th Street in a sea of purple and gold. Discovered the LONG line outside the Metro Center to get back on the metro, so I ate chinese food for an hour. The line back onto the metro slowed down but still stood up in the train for half the trip. Was it worth it? Of course! This is the third time I've seen Kobe within a year. Worth every minute!

If there's one thing for sure, then it's that I love ramen. Especially Santouka Ramen! When I was in Hawaii, I tried two different ramen shops and both were equally satisfying. Goma Tei Ramen is a shop in the Ala Moana Center. Their Tan Tan ramen is AMAZING. The broth of the Tan Tan ramen is a spicy sesame flavor and I enjoyed it so much. My boyfriend had curry (I'm not much of a curry fan so I didn't try it all) but he said that it was one of the best curry that he has ever had. If you are a ramen lover, I do recommend to try this place. The other ramen place I tried was Tenkaippin but I'll do a post later on.

The Lakers got it without a doubt. Problem is, I have no idea where to watch it. It’s crazy how life works. For the last two years, I’ve been beaten down (emotionally, not physically) and my lack of motivation has affected me in both work and school. I hiked up Diamond Head Crater in Oahu and once I saw the beautiful view of Waikiki, I realized to myself, life isn’t so bad after all. Going to San Francisco (FINALLY!) in about two weeks! I was supposed to go in April but the day I was going to leave, it was super windy and it super rained up there. I know what you all LA based bloggers must be thinking. How on earth have I not done a post on Boiling Crab? There's so much hype around Boiling Crab, pretty much everyone that I know has eaten there. Problem is, my BF is allergic to seafood. Yes, that's right, my BF and I don't go on sushi dates or Boiling Crab dates or whatever seafood dates there is, we don't do it. I don't mind at all. The well being of my BF is my main concern, so eating seafood is usually not an option for me. Even the smell of seafood gets to him! And even if I were to eat seafood and he kisses me, he would have an allergic reaction! I've gotten used to it, so complaining here. Earlier this month (or was it last week? I forget haha) we decided to take a risk. Well I didn't want him to (for his well being of course), my BF was insisting that he tag along to Boiling Crab with my mom, brother, and two of our friends (I don't blame him, I'd feel left out too). Poor BF, while everyone was devouring a pound of sha-bang shrimp, he was eating fries and chicken wings. Rest assured everyone, my BF was fine! Even if my BF did survive a trip to Boiling Crab, I wouldn't risk it and would probably keep my trips minimal.

By the way, did I mention that I did enjoy the shrimp! I'm not a fan of crabs or lobsters or what not, so I didn't get that (but I do hear you get your money's worth if you choose to buy shrimp which by the way is $8.99/pound which was a lot for me). I'm not much of a seafood gal, but it was tasty! Maybe it was because the seasoning (lemon pepper, garlic butter, and rajun cajun seasoning) was THE dream concoction for a food lover like me! Downside though, I hate peeling my shrimp. So tedious and somehow I got a cut. Oh and too bad I didn't get a get photo of the delicious shrimp. I didn't want my camera to get greasy haha.

If I haven't already said it, but I LOVE Porto's. I am especially in love with their midnight sandwich and oreo cheesecake. Hands down, the oreo cheesecake at Porto's is tastier than the oreo cheesecake at Cheesecake Factory but don't take my word for it. While I devoured the cheesecake and midnight sandwich, the BF had the beef steak (?) sandwich. He wasn't a fan of it and noted that he rather get the midnight sandwich. Like always, I stuff my face with the potato balls. So delicious, right now it's making me wish I can drive all the way to Glendale tomorrow for lunch but I have to be back to study and work on powerpoints. Ugh. On the bright side, school is over next week so trips to Porto's are very likely.

Just got back from Vegas and I'm pooped. Driving to Vegas during rush hour. Venezia Bella Suites. First drinks at First Food & Bar. Long walks down the strip trying to figure out what to eat but only ending up back (after walking for 2 hours in 4 inch heels) at the Venetian for food at Grand Lux Cafe at 3:00 in the morning. Going to bed when the sun comes up. Lunch at Grand Lux Cafe 12 hours later. Sampling 16 different coke (coca cola to be exact haha) from different parts of the world. Taking pictures with the Coca Cola Bear. Finding M&M on Las Vegas Blvd. Devouring a jalapeno pretzel from New York Pretzel Co. while BF and friend devoured hot dogs from Nathans. FAT TUESDAYS. Gambling $25 courtesy of the Venetian Hotel. Knocking out at 10:00 PM and waking up 11 hours later wishing I took a dip in the garden pool. Checking out. Stuff stuff stuff at The Buffet in the Wynn and a long drive back home. Ugh, now I have to get into study mode for finals.

My boyfriend and I tried Furaibo for the first time last week and the funny thing is that we ate Furaibo TWICE that day. The best time to go is during lunch (11:30AM-2:00PM in Gardena) since it's about $7.00 for 13 (12?) wings, rice, and salad. I was addicted to their Creamy House Dressing salad. The chicken wings were good too. When we went during lunch, the price for a Bento Box (with half the amount of wings we had for lunch, a pork cutlet, salad, and rice) was about $13 so we established that lunch is the best time to go.

There is only I believe 3 Furaibo's in the United States. They have over 70 locations in Japan. In the last year, my boyfriend and I have been eating a lot of Japanese food. It makes me want to go to Tokyo sooo bad! Which reminds me, I need to brush up on my Japanese! The first photo is the plate we go during lunch. The last couple days have been hectic. From waking up in Arizona to shopping in Vegas to a long and frightening drive home through gusty winds on the 15, all I want to do is spend the whole day on my couch doing nothing. I guess you can say spring break has been treating me good :)

Like I mentioned in my previous post, I'm not a big fan of Vegas. I'd choose San Francisco any day over Vegas. I don't know, ever since I first went to SF when I was 13, I've always been in love with SF. My aunt continuously tells my boyfriend how I've always loved SF. In high school, I've always dreamed about going up north for college. Times have changed, and I'm still here in LA but I'm not complaining. Anyway, I totally went off topic, but after a somewhat boring trip to Arizona, we decided to take a detour to Vegas. Obviously taking a detour to SF isn't an option (while driving a very long 8 hour drive, I was half regretting going to the Grand Canyon over SF, but I figured since I've never been to the Grand Canyon, why not?). Okay enough about SF.

Anyway, the drive to Vegas from Flagstaff took only 4 hours. While driving there, we drove through the Hoover Dam and for some reason I got all excited. I never knew how close the Hoover Dam was to Vegas. After a little less than an hour, we arrived in Vegas and walked around. Since this trip was a last minute trip, we just ate at the Grand Lux Cafe in the Venetian. Oh! One of my best friends went to Vegas last weekend and told me about a drink at the Coca Cola store. For $7.00, you can try 16 different drinks from Coca Cola from around the world. It was definitely the highlight of the entire trip. My favorites would have to be drinks from Spain and Japan! The one drink my friend mentioned to me was the one drink that caught me off guard. It's called the Beverly from Italy. It tasted like rubbing alcohol or even worse. Overall, the entire trip was fun. Who knew that I would be in three states in one day! Doesn't happen all the time!

Monday was the first time I stepped foot in the state of Arizona (specifically, the Grand Canyon) along with my BF, his mom, and my brother. Definitely a beautiful place but being from the city, I got bored quick. Don't get me wrong, it really was beautiful but you can only do so much there (and hiking was not an option). Clothes-wise, I failed once again. I brought two dresses and a pair shorts but 29 degrees Fahrenheight was too cold. I just ended up wearing leggings, an oversized shirt, and H&M's Garden Collection blazer. I also brought sandals and worried about freezing my toes but thank goodness my BF reminded me that I left boots in the car. I got quite a few stares since my boots had a heel (not that high though). Really, who wears heels to the Grand Canyon?

After a day in Arizona, we (my BF, his mom, my brother, and I) decided to take a detour to Vegas! I haven't been to Vegas since March of 2007 (only because I prefer San Francisco a million times more). I'll blog about it later!

Today, my boyfriend and I dined at the Panvimarn Thai Cuisine in Long Beach. One of his best friends works there so we decided to check it out. I'm definitely not that knowledgeable about Thai cuisine but I've tried quite a few so don't take my word for it. Let's first talk about the decor, and talk about amazing! It's set up like a loft with golden walls and a huge beautiful statue to greet you (not sure if it was Buddha, but there was an actual Buddha head behind it). It was really cute and cozy inside and looked exactly like how my dream loft would look like.

As for the food, we ordered Beef Sate (Satay, if you'd like) which was incredibly tender and sauteed with coconut juice. Then we had Panvimarn Rice in which I didn't get the chance to actually taste it since I first tried the Spicy Jungle Noodles which was spicy and definitely numbed my taste buds for awhile. For dessert, we had Mango Sticky Rice and I love mango sticky rice! For you Filipinos out there, it tasted like Suman (?) or maybe not (don't know the names of Filipino food, I just eat it haha) just with sweet mangoes.

Overall, we enjoyed our experience so coming back is highly possible. My mom tried the Sate and she loved it when we brought it home.

Word from the street: Magnolia Bakery to open in LA!!! First, Max Brenner is going to open in Vegas and now this. I now don't need to fly all the way to New York (not that I do of course haha) for White Chocolate Macadamia Mini Cheesecake from Magnolia and Tutti Frutti Waffles from Max Brenner! Not fond of the cupcakes at Magnolia but the cheesecake oh man, yummy goodness!

In the past two weeks, I've worked nearly 30 hours a week, wrote a 6 page paper on affirmative action in 5 hours, studied for an ethics midterm, and went to an optional class (twice) to finish my Excel assignments. Who knew that using Windows Vista would be so complicated? I always thought I was proficient in Word and Excel, but this class told me otherwise. Ahhh, as a result of an extremely stressful two weeks, I caught a cold and all I've done (besides work and school) was recovered on my couch and watched TV. With that being said, I'm going to have some fun in the next few weeks:

What I had on my last day in New York right before I headed to the airport. Either I was really hungry from the lack of food in the four days I was in New York or it was really really really good, I enjoyed it so much. The fries were so good, the burger was so good, and with a large soda, I think it was the first time I was satisfied food wise while in New York. Coming from Southern California, I'm not sure how Californians would react to Shake Shack. I like to keep an open mind, others are very prideful (my Boyfriend went to San Francisco with an LA hat and got them Giants Fans hating hahaha). So, I'm sure they would stress that In-n-Out is a million times better. I like both equally.

Ahh, I miss New York!

Yesterday, the BF and I went to Sephora and Bloomingdales in hopes of purchasing a 3.4oz bottle of Daisy (and for him, YSL's l'homme) but after being sidetracked by the sales lady about the parfum and the toilette, I'm a bit confused. I totally understand that the parfum is of better quality and last longer but the only size available is the 1.7oz for $72. The 3.4oz toilette costs $70. Twice the size, but doesn't last as long. What I'm confused about is WHAT TO GET! Ahh, Decisions, decisions. Also, my BF finally decided that Daisy was more of my scent than Lola. My mom also agrees so Daisy it is!

So my mom has offered a trip to Asia this summer so I MIGHT go to Thailand this year! Super excited! I haven't decided yet so we'll see. To those who have been following my blog, I've mentioned going to Europe but that didn't go through since the BF took a full time position and hasn't accrued any vacation hours as of yet. I still haven't confirmed with my mom that I'm going so we'll see.

Wow, it's been almost a month since Chictopia 10 event in New York. Apologies for not doing this post sooner, but school really really is overwhelming. Anyway, excuses aside, let's move on to my adventures in New York thanks to Chictopia! I flew into New York Thursday night to explore the city (shopping mainly haha). Before the trip, I was a bit nervous knowing that I was staying at a hotel and exploring the city by myself but having been to New York before, it wasn't as frightening as I anticipated it. My first stop was to the oh so glorious Topshop in SoHo. With three stories of beautiful (four, if you include the men's floor) clothes, I had to refrain from debiting my bank account or I wouldn't be able to last all weekend. So I just went to Zara and H&M and went back to the hotel to rest up for the next day.

Friday morning, I woke up around 7 AM and walked to Central Park. Central Park was completely covered in snow (thanks to the blizzard two days before) and it was so beautiful. Central Park is one of my favorite places in the entire world. Did a lot of people and dog watching while I was there. To make a long story short, did more shopping, spent time in Times Square and at the end of the night, I met the lovely ladies from Chictopia. They were all so nice and did I mention, beautiful! My roommate was Taghrid who is super super nice.

The Chictopia 10 conference was on Saturday and boy was it informative. I definitely believe that bloggers are changing the face of fashion. During the conference, I met Candy from Dulce Candy. She was incredibly sweet. She's also from LA! After the dinner, we headed off to 41 Greenwich Ave restaurant where I got to converse some more with Candy as well as Kristine and Helen. After dinner, Candy and I walked around Times Square and ended the night early since she had a flight in the morning.

Early Sunday morning, Candy and I had breakfast at the little diner near the hotel (loved the fresh squeezed orange juice there). We went back to the hotel and I went to my room so I can sleep a few more hours before the photoshoot in Bryant Park. It was surreal to be standing next to the tents in Bryant Park during New York Fashion Week (now I'm trying to aim to get INTO the tents rather than standing next to it hahaha!). As much as I wanted to have brunch and do the shopping trip that came with the trip, I had to catch a cab to Newark for my flight since I had class the next morning (8 AM!) for accounting (I definitely did not want to miss my flight).

So this concludes my awesome Chictopia 10 adventure in New York. I didn't take a lot of photos as I had hoped (let alone, any outfit photos with the exception of the photo from Bryant Park from one of my previous post) since my partner in crime (aka BF) wasn't around. Anyway, I'd like to thank Chictopia (Helen, Corinne, Kristine, and everyone else!) for this amazing opportunity. Overall, like I mentioned earlier, I had an amazing time and I'm looking forward to the next Chictopia event!

Traveling alone is the hardest thing I've ever done. On my way to New York, I woke up with the worse feeling that some may or may not understand. Going home from New York was even worse. I literally cried in the plane. Partly because since my Dad passed away, traveling has never been the same. The joy I get whenever I'm at the airport is now somber. I used to love airports but now I'm reminded of the last time I saw my dad alive. Plane rides aren't the same anymore. Waking up in the plane next to complete strangers and not seeing him next to me (I usually sat next to him while my brother was with my mom) brought me to an all time low, I vowed to myself to never fly alone again. I guess it's because traveling was the only thing we did as a family and the one thing my parents were looking forward to every year. Now, I'm going to miss the family trips we used to take. I'm going to miss having a shoulder to sleep on the plane, the late night bus rides to the province, the animals we used to play with, the waterfalls we used to swim under, the beaches we swam in, the luaus we went to, the hassles of getting a passport, the predictable dinners and lunches at the malls, the daily morning breakfast my dad buys me, the shopping we used to do and even the taxi and jeepney rides we used to take while overseas...

Dad, it's been only a year and half since you've been gone and life still hasn't gone back to normal but know that I'm trying my best! I miss you and I love you so much.

I spent the weekend with my BF and his family at Big Bear. Played a lot in the snow so I didn’t put that much effort into my look (so excuse my hair and makeup haha). Anyway, it was a lot of fun and so much snow! As much as I love cold weather, snow isn’t my thing. It’s hard to dress up without sliding and eating it and being drenched at the end of the day. I love layering and bundling up, but not when I have to make sure my clothes are waterproof (this by the way was taken after snow play and getting ready to head back home).

Before my 22nd birthday, I went to LA to do some shopping at Wasteland and Jet Rag and ate delicious, oh so delicious Japanese food at this little place in Little Tokyo called Teishokuya of Tokyo (or in short, TOT). One of my good friends introduced me to this little joint since her boyfriend works at a sneaker shop across the street. I'm not much of a miso soup person but the miso soup was good. As an entree, I ordered a Sauce Katsu bowl (the first photo) and oh my goodness, it is SOOO good! I rarely, if ever, get chicken katsu, but oh man the sauce on the chicken katsu was AMAZING! The other entrees were bento boxes with spicy chicken, tempura, gyoza, and California rolls. The spicy chicken was really good too. AHH now I'm hungry, hahaha.

Some of you may know that I started school this week and for one thing, I can tell you that this semester is going to be one hectic semester. Not sure how often I can blog (accounting, calculus, information systems, and philosophy all require me to do homework every single week and it's not even work you can half-ass. My homework consists of balancing financial statements, derivatives, and extremely meticulous power points and spreadsheets that even a slight differentiation in color will get you docked 5 points) but I'll try my best!

I have this soft spot for girly, flow-y,silky, and pastel colored dresses. The entire Spring/Summer collection from Valentino is exactly that and it makes me wish sometimes for spring to come. More like springtime in Central Park kind of springtime. Hehehe. If you know me at all, you would know that I prefer colder climates and neutral color wardrobe (okay an all black wardrobe haha) than the girly girl stuff but sometimes I tend to lean towards the lighter end of the spectrum. Just sometimes.
