lazy tuesday
(my backyard, november 2007)
Today is the start of my Thanksgiving break. Nothing new since I only go to school Tuesday and Thursday. Right now I'm sitting on my bed and have been on my Macbook for two hours straight doing completely nothing but reading blogs (and catching up with my blog!). No outfit post today since I knocked out after classes today (due to the fact that I slept at 3 in the morning working on a paper that was due today and had to wake up at 7 to finish it up. Yes, yes I am THEE Queen of Procrastination) and I didn't wake up till 5:30. And because of daylight savings time, there's not a substantial amount of light for me to use at 5:30 in evening. Anyway, enough of that.
I have been contemplating whether or not to attend the Santa Monica H&M grand opening tomorrow. The first 200 customers get gift cards that are worth between $10-$300. After thorough analysis, the CONS definitely outweighed the PROS after I sorted it through. I checked out the weather widget on my iPhone and I noticed that today, tomorrow, and on Thanksgiving it was supposed to rain. Now, I certainly do not want to wait in line in the rain for hours (since we would probably have to go 5 in the morning to be guaranteed a gift card). And on top of that, the 405 North is jam-packed with cars (LA morning commute) and I certainly do not want to sit through traffic. I guess after all, the gift cards aren't really worth it. I mean I don't even know if I'm getting the $300 gift card. It's all chance. With my luck, I'll probably end up with $10 after going through all that. I passssss.
And I'm excited for Black Friday. I'm planning to do some shopping at the Americana in Glendale (H&M and Urban Outfitters). At H&M, I've been eyeing two dresses, a cardigan, and some pants and at Urban, geez I have a whole wishlist.
Definitely tomorrow I'll do an outfit post- PROMISE !

buys
Scored! Chinese Laundry "Top" Over the Knee Boots in black leather for $44 at Loehmann's. Seriously, I've never loved a pair of boots the way I loved these. I've been searching all over the internet for them and now they are in my hands.

Note: This isn't the "Top" version, but the "Turbo" version (because of the wedge heel) but almost the same.

style
AHHHH I have a headache and I am sick and sore. Well I apologize for not blogging for awhile. Been so busy catching up with school, cleaning/redecorating my room, preparing a yard sale, prayers for my Dad and so and so forth. Things just has been hectic! Okay well as you all may already know, we have elected a new President. It's remarkable that I get to see a "colored" candidate to win presidency. It's quite historical.
I was ecstatic when I found this coat on sale for $50. Last week I went to h&m in South Coast Plaza and it was regular priced ($99.90) and then I went to the Americana in Glendale and it was on sale. Bought a few other items as well. Back to the coat, I love the structure of it and the color is quite beautiful plaid-wise. Wore this ensemble to school today. People looked at me like I was an idiot (keep in mind I attend a university in Southern California where students predominantly are still clad with UGG boots with summer dresses, denim jeans, flip flops and rainbow slippers, sweats . . . you know, the laid back, beach bum style). OH WELLS!
h&m coat, dress, and bag, target tights, payless shoes
